Renewed Carbon Cobar BioHub
Renewed Carbon is establishing its first BioHub in Cobar, central western New South Wales, to tackle the challenge of rangeland degradation caused by more than 150 years of unsustainable farming practices. Traditional “slash and burn” methods not only waste valuable biomass but also release significant carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. The BioHub provides a scalable alternative, turning restoration by-products into valuable resources while helping landholders regenerate their land.
Key Project Outcomes
- Provide a systematic solution to persistent biowaste challenges.
- Create economic value from undervalued biomass by-products.
- Recover and process biomass from large-scale land restoration.
- Contribute to regional carbon reduction and sustainable land management.
