Barry Wilson Joins ICE to Drive Sustainable Agricultural Innovation

ICE is pleased to welcome Barry Wilson to the team, bringing a wealth of experience in agricultural science, chemistry, and technology innovation.

Barry holds a double major in plant and animal biology from the University of Southern Queensland. His early career focused on research, consulting, and commercial activities in broadacre cropping, where he gained a deep understanding of Australian farming systems and their productivity challenges.

After moving to Victoria in the early 2000s, Barry has pursued activities focused on technology efficiencies in agriculture. Through diverse roles, he has researched ways to combine conventional agricultural chemistries with organic materials to deliver more sustainable outcomes for growers. With a strong background in polymer chemistry, Barry has also advanced methods to improve crop nutrient and water-use efficiency across agricultural systems.

Barry believes that combining conventional chemistry with high-end organic technologies will lead to a more sustainable agricultural future — a philosophy that aligns strongly with ICE’s mission.

“Barry brings a deep technical foundation and a practical understanding of what drives success in modern agriculture,” said ICE Founder Rick Stefanutti. “His expertise in both polymer and agricultural chemistry will be instrumental as we continue developing technologies that support decarbonisation and sustainable production systems.”

With his blend of research, commercial, and applied experience, Barry Wilson strengthens ICE’s growing multidisciplinary team and reinforces the company’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and real-world agricultural impact.
